Why do we study the Bible? Why do we open the Bible and study it? Is it to know God, to know who we are, to know God's plan for us, God's plan for the world? What is the primary reason we should cooperate in Bible Study?

A listener has a friend who is attracted to the same sex but he is also a Christ follower who is committed to the authority of scripture. He once committed himself to celibacy but now, being in school, he is hearing many popular Christian teachers who claim that same sex relations are okay in the context of a committed monogamous marriage. Is this just a difference of opinion?

Preston has said at many times that he is Non-Affirming (he believes in a traditional view on marriage and sexual ethics).
